Fuel calculator

Your session, your gut. Out comes the carb target, the maple to carry, and what the same carbs would cost you in gels.

Assumptions: pure maple syrup at about $22 per 32 oz jug (roughly 0.885 g of carbs per mL), gels at about $3.00 per 25 g of carbs. The hourly rate scales with session length per published sports-nutrition ranges; a trained gut can take in more. I race at 140 to 170 g/hr, but that took years of practice. Work up gradually. Not medical advice.

The system behind the numbers: the maple syrup fueling system. Know what you drink too: the sweat rate calculator. And for the two days before a race: the carb load calculator.

Train like it's programmed. Because it is.

Everything on this page is already built into the training I write. Bring the goal, I bring the system.
